The CSC is a nonprofit, nonpolitical, cultural organization. The camp program was established to enrich the personal lives of Chinese American children through a better understanding of their Chinese heritage. This camp is a one-week sleep away program, and consists of morning cultural awareness classes, taught by our own volunteer teachers from the Bergen, Columbia, Livingston, and Rockland Chinese Schools. Then the rest of the afternoons and evening activities are full of fun and games, like swimming, fishing, go carts, wall climbing, basket and volleyball, bonfire, and so much more.  Most importantly the campers lived among kids of their own age group, and for 7 days they learn to take care of themselves, and strengthen their own independence under the supervision of counselors and assistants. Our goal is to provide a safe, educational, and fun environment for children to learn and share experiences with kids that have the same background as them. With the completion of our 20th year (2005), we are very proud and very grateful, to the support and sacrifice from parents past and present. These concerned parents volunteer their time and energy to ensure that our children can have the experience, and opportunity to meet new friends that will last with them forever.
